Happiness doesn’t start with your friends

Happiness doesn't start with your friends

I hear people say, ”He or she makes me happy or I would be happy if I had this or that. That’s not how it works, happiness comes from within and if you aren’t happy with yourself no one else or no other thing will make you happy. For me it was a lot of inner searching to find what was making me unhappy. Just coming to terms with myself and accepting my mistakes, forgiving myself, learning to love myself, accepting responsibility for my actions and blaming no one for my bad choices and congratulating myself for the good choices I’ve made and no one is completely happy 100% of the time. ~ Tina Marshall

Let’s be real! Your job, your relationships, your friends and so much more does affect your happiness. You can be a happy person and still not be so happy with some of those things. Ultimately you are responsible for your happiness but your happiness can be affected by those things. ~ Sissy Dunbar

People are human and others will always disappoint and you will disappoint yourself. You are responsible for you, and it is not fair for them to have that kind of pressure upon them. I used to believe that if I tried to find happiness for just myself, I was selfish. Actually, it’s very unselfish. You can only be your best for others when you give them your best. Find your happiness! ~ Renee Bare
